Buffon( Pmane leclerc, cheva lier de), fi ère du précédent, maréchal de - camp né en 1751i à Buffon près de Montbard, et mort en 1825 à l'âge de quatre - vingt - onze - ans, entra comme vo lontaire dans les grenadiers du régiment de Navarre infanterie et obtint pendant la guerre de sept ans les grades de major et de lieutenant-colonel dans celui de Lor raine. Louis XV le nomma, en 1770, che valier de Saint - Louis et maréchal - descamp. En t8ih il reçut de Louis XVIII 1a déco ration de la légion d'honneur.
