To date, the natural sciences have rarely reflected on the fact that the only truly certain things in the life of a human being are the conscious thoughts we have in our conscious state of being. Thomas and Brigitte Görnitz have found a way to explain consciousness scientifically. Based on quantum theory they develop a concept of "protyposis" with which material can be defined as "configured quantum information."The consequences of this discovery are valid for the description of the broad expanse of human knowledge, often soberly described by the terms experience, spirituality, and religion.
