Il y a, soit au secrétariat provincial, soit dans les différents palais de justice, des collections considérables pièces judiciaires et notariales, lettres de noblesse, certificats de vie ou de notoriété, actes d'érection de comtés, de baronnies, etc., dont l'intérêt et la valeur n'échappent à personne. On en peut dire autant des registres de l'état civil, lesquels ne font pas toujours double emploi, comme on le pourrait croire, avec ceux qu'on s'attend de trouver dans nos paroisses et qui en réalité en sont souvent absents.
