Deux rapports de police, l'un daté de 1749 et signé Buhot, l'autre de 1752 et rédigé par Meus nier, racontent les aventures des Vestris jusqu'à leur arrivée à Paris 1. Bien que les deux ins pecteurs diffèrent dans leurs versions, nous allons essayer, à l'aide d'autres documents, d'en extraire ce qui est plausible.
